While it’s understandable that kids often look like their parents, it gets noteworthy when your mother is Beyoncé (aka the Queen of front page news).

Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s infant, has been compared to the singer of Single Ladies in recent photos. And even if the family resemblance doesn’t strike you (you’re in the minority there), Blue’s maturity should persuade you to follow along.

Photos of Blue Ivy enjoying the NBA Finals game at San Francisco’s Chase Center drew immediate comparisons to her famous mother, who was at the time a young star herself.

When Blue was younger, she was often mistaken for her father, but now, as one Twitter user put it, “Blue Ivy stole Beyoncé’s entire face!”

“Beyoncé really said copy and paste with Blue Ivy,” quipped one fan, another commenting: “Wow, wow, wow, had to remind myself it wasn’t the 90s for a second.”

Putting their outward appearances aside, there was a very touching moment when Jay Z held Blue Ivy’s arm during the game (the two were courtside at the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Boston Celtics).

The majority of us would give our left arm to have a celebrity do this to us, but Blue views it as just another awkward dad moment that she wants to move on from. She can be heard saying, “dad, my hair,” as she tries to break free of his hold.

This is something that thrills us to see.
