Inside Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s New $200 Million Concrete House That Took 15 Years to Build

Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently added a California house to their growing real estate portfolio. The pair apparently won’t sell their former multi-million dollar estate despite moving into the new house.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are said to have purchased a Tadao Ando-designed architectural wonder in Malibu, which is the same architect working on Kanye West’s beachside retreat.

Just behind Ken Griffin’s $238 million New York City investment in 2019, the large acquisition has sent the house into the history books as the second-most expensive residence ever sold in the United States.

The previous owner of the massive 30,000 square foot Malibu mansion, which sits on 8 acres of outstanding real land, was William Bell Jr., a powerful figure in the international art world. Bell worked on the massive concrete structure, a distinguishing feature of Ando’s designs, for close to 15 years.

The residence, which is perched atop Malibu’s cliffs, is expected to initially be used as a weekend hideaway. The family’s $88 million Bel-Air estate, which is close to their children’s schools and friends, is still where they mostly live.

But according to sources, Jay-Z wants to move his family permanently to the Malibu mansion, even though it’s not yet known whether he intends to sell the Bel-Air home.

The house, which was initially marketed for a cool $295 million, appears cheap in comparison. The deal was handled by mega-celebrity broker Kurt Rappaport, who spoke on behalf of both parties.

The pair was photographed out on a date night in London not long after word of their pricey purchase leaked. The event marked the beginning of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour’s” European leg.

In a stunning black off-the-shoulder minidress, the “Lemonade” singer delivered an alluring appearance.

The eye-catching Balmain design came with built-in gloves and a long ribbon that trailed to the floor and was embellished with a variety of round rhinestones that were thermoformed onto black velvet fabric.

Beyoncé finished off her ensemble with matching dazzling heels and a pair of very high platform handbags.

The “Single Ladies” singer stunned fans with a remix of her hit “America Has A Problem,” a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, before their romantic evening out.
